Flower Ovary

Flower Ovary

The ovary is part of the female reproduction system in flowering plants. It is situated in pistil, which also contains the style and the stigma. There are three different classifications of ovaries, based on where they are located in the pistil. They are the superior, inferior, and half inferior ovaries. In the ovary are many ovules, which are fertilized with pollen through pollination. A fruit or seed is the ripened ovary or ovaries from one or more flowers. The fruits then disperse the seeds inside them.
