Dragonflies are in the Kingdom Animalia, Phylum Arthropoda, Class Insecta, and Order Odonata. This red dragonfly has two sets of wings, two large compound eyes, and three simple eyes. The eyes are on the head and the wings are attached to the thorax. Lastly, tiny holes in the abdomen called spiracles is how the dragonfly breathes. The abdomen also contains the reproductive organs and males have clasper on the end of theirs to attach to the females during mating.
