Anther and Filament of stamen

Anther and Filament of stamen

Around the center of these small orange flowers are the anther and filament of the stamen, male portions of the flower. The anther of the stamen is where the spores are held until wind or animals take the spores to pollinate another plant. The Filament of the stamen is the structure that holds up the anthers either on the base or in the middle.
