Connective Tissue

Connective tissue is a type of tissue that support, separates, and connects different types of tissues and organs. It provides methods for transport as well as communication with other tissues. The cells in connective tissue consist of fibroblasts, adipocytes, and immunological defense cells (such as mast cells, macrophages, and lymphocytes).  Some examples of connective tissue are cartilage, fat, tendons, ligaments, etc.
