Eukaryotes

Eukaryotes are organisms that contain a nucleus and membrane bound organelles. The main difference between a eukaryote and a prokaryote is that a eukaryote holds its DNA in a membrane bound nucleus. All multicellular organisms are eukaryotes. This includes fungi, plants, and animals. Prokaryotes include bacteria and archaea.
