Introduced Species

Introduced Species

Species through human devices implanted in foreign environments in either numbers deviating from naturally established ratios or in utterly novel ways which can often with devastating consequences disrupt ecological balance are classified as induced.Often times such pernicious effects do not materialize, the introduction being either non-potent on its newfound environment or even helpful, such as plants that inhibit erosion, agriculturally produce with more fruitfullness, or animals which compensate for an ecological imbalance. Introduced species can convey alien contagions, which can decimate surrounding wildlife to potentially severe extents. The Solenopsis Invicta(the most common variation of the red ant) is a notorious, imported, now South Floridian species.
