Gibberellin

Gibberellin is any of several plant hormones that are used to promote plant growth like stem elongation. These hormones can also help in fruit growth and seed germination. Gibberellins stimulate cell division by working with auxin to activate enzymes. A high concentration of gibberellins exists in a seed embryo. Gibberellin treatment can even be used to make a seed germinate in improper growing conditions. These hormones are used on many fruits from apples to grapes. Gibberellins are able to apply their effects by altering gene transcription.
