Flower Ovary

Flower Ovary

This is a part of the reproductive organ of the female flower. It is specifically the part of the pistil that holds the ovules. It is located either below or above or at the point of connection with the base of the sepals and the petals. The pistil can then be made up of several fused carpels or a single carpel. This allows the ovary to contain a part of one carpel or many parts of several fused carpels.
