Carbohydrates: Fiber


Another carbohydrate would be fiber. Fiber is technically called a carbohydrate but is not digested by the body. Dietary fibers cannot be digested by the bodies enzymes. One type of dietary fiber, insoluble fiber, cannot dissolve in water and the other type, soluble fiber, dissolves in water and absorbs fats. The picture above is of an avocado that grows in my backyard, avocado is one of the vegetables that is high in fiber. Avocados contain insoluble fibers and helps increase the digestive rate.
