Animal with a segmented body

The shrimp shown above has a segmented body. Most organisms have different ways of segmentation of their body in order to properly and more efficiently target growth zones and organize internal organs. Usually, a segmented animal would have repeated organs or parts of the body in each segment, however more recently scientists have come to call any animal that is segmented in different parts with clear segments, to be known as a segmented animal.
