Animal that has a Segmented Body

Animal that has a Segmented Body

The term segmentation refers to the division of plant and animal body plans into a collection of repetitive parts. The segmented body is split into operating parts. These parts form three sections, whether together with other parts or individually. The sections, from bottom to top, are called the abdomen, thorax, and the head. Animals with jointed appendages, like this caterpillar, are known as arthropods and they have bodies that are segmented.
