Cellular respiration is the set of the metabolic reactions and processes in which biochemical energy is harvested from organic substances like glucose and stored in energy carriers, adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This bottle of honey contains glucose, which is used in glycolysis, the initial metabolic pathway of cellular respiration.
