structural proteins

A protein is a biologically functional molecule that consists of one of more polypeptides, which are each folded and coiled into a specific three-dimensional structure. The simplest level of a protein is made up of amino acids. Structural proteins and used mainly for support. Keratin is the protein of hair, fur, horns, and feathers. The dog in the picture above has a large quantity of fur, and therefore keratin.
