The picture shows a mature dog that live in the house next to me. Dogs, like other mammals and birds, can control their internal body temperature, and that is why they are called warm blooded. Endothermic animals have adapted to raise its body temperature by shivering when there is excessive heat loss. If an endotherm gains too much heat, it can perspire, or pant like the dog n the image. This ability allows endotherms to live in cooler environments.
