The two groups of plants that contain seeds are angiosperms and gymnosperms. The angiosperms have fruits and flowers to protect their seeds while gymnosperms do not have these features. The literal meaning of gymnosperm is “naked seed” because the seeds of gymnosperms are not made in specialized containers unlike the angiosperms’ seeds. These gymnosperm leaves belong to the Conifer group. They have cones to aid them in reproducing instead of having specialized containers for seeds, flowers, or fruits. The seeds of this gymnosperm grows on the modified leaves or the plant.
