The krebs cycle is the process via which the pyruvate generated via the breakdown of glucose in glycolysis is,after modification to acetyl CoA, synthesized with oxalocetate, forming citric acid, and cyclically broken down from a six carbon to four carbon molecule, in doing so per spin generating 3 NADH, 1FADH2, and 1 ATP and 2 CO2(their are two discrete spin per glucose molecule).An integral component in oxidative phosphorylation, the krebs cycle ultimately supplies the majority of the material exploited by the electron transport chain to regenerate ATP. Pervasive throughout aerobically respirating life, the cycle is perpetually repeated within the mitochondria of the above bird.
