Connective tissue is a kind of biological tissue that supports, connects, or separates different types of tissues and organs of the body. Connective tissues serves many purposes. For example;  it is a storage of energy, it protects the organs, it provides provision of structural framework for the body, it connects the body tissues, and it connects epithelial tissues to muscle fiber. Also, connective tissue can be divided into three types of fibers; collagenous fibers, elastic fibers, and reticular fibers.
