Phloem is a type of complex vascular tissue found in vascular plants. The other vascular tissue would be xylem. Phloem moves sugars, amino acids, and many more organic products and distributes them thought the entire plant while xylem Cary’s water and minerals. The phloem is part if the bark and the xylem is right underneath that. The picture above is of a broken piece of stem. In the picture the phloem would be the innermost later of the bark.
