Bilateral Symmetry

Bilateral Symmetry

Bilateral symmetry is the imaginary division of an organism into two exact, mirrored halves. This plant leaf displays bilateral symmetry because when divided, both halves are identical to each other. However, if one looks more closely, an imperfect bilateral symmetry is found due to the vein patterns in the cuticle layer of the leaves.
