Hydrophobic

Hydrophobic literally means “water fearing molecules.” Hydrophobes are non-polar molecules usually formed with a long chain of carbons that don’t interact with aqueous solution. Some examples of hydrophobic liquids are, oil and water. Whenever you try to mix the two liquids, no matter how hard you shake them, they will always form two different layers.
